Fortimedix Names New CEO

Contract manufacturer of endovascular stents Fortimedix has announced that COO Wout Bijker has been named CEO, effective immediately. Bijker joined Fortimedix in August 2009. He will now focus on further maturing the company’s manufacturing system, broadening its technology base and establishing a culture of continuous process improvement, thus ensuring sustainable competition, according to the company.

“Fortimedix has the ambition to outgrow the market and outpace the competition,” Bijker told EMDT’s medtechinsider. Former CEO and cofounder of the company, Marc van de Graaf will lead Fortimedix USA and continue to serve the company as its Vice President, Global Business Development.
