CHRONIFER M-15 X (1.4057 / AISI 431)

Together with one of the leading steel manufacturers of the world as well as with metallurgists from the region, L. Klein Ltd. has developed a steel that meets all current requirements for the high quality medical instruments.
The powder metallurgy, which has been successfully introduced in the tool manufacturing industry, serves as the base for the CHRONIFER M-15X.
The fine grained, regular structure allows clean outlines and good machinability. The coating of the parts show better results. Minimal fluctuations from one lot to the next are expected.
Due to the homogeneous structure of the steel there is no considerable less deformation on the parts during heat treatment. The corrosion resistance is enhanced significantly, and hardness, compared to the standard AISI 431, can be 15 - 20 % higher.

This alloy corresponds to the norms AISI 431, Material no. 1.4057, ASTM F 899-09 NF S 94-090.
