Silicon Valley–based Beahm Designs Inc. announces the release of a product designed to improve performance for industry-standard balloon development systems. The AC100, which attaches to existing hot air systems, enhances functionality and performance whilst retaining flexibility and ease of use. Beahm Designs reports that adopters are increasing output by as much as 80%. In addition, the product improves user safety and reduces operator error, according to the company.

The AC-100 attaches to Beahm Designs' Hot Air Systems 210-A and 185-A to provide optimal product centering within the thermal nozzle. It enables operators to repeatably and precisely bond tubing and shafts. The accessory features a safety shield and adjustments on the x, y and z axis to refine accuracy and accommodate a variety of product configurations.

The AC100 assists operators in formulating a range of applications for tubing, bonding, balloon blowing and processing options.  Catheter manufacturers benefit from the ability to perform highly precise bonds for demanding applications including tubing bonds, balloon blowing, and recovery.
