Mikron Automation has announced the introduction of a new automation platform along with enhancements to its signature Mikron G05 assembly system. The new EcoLine (pictured) is based on the use of manual, semi and fully automatic standard modules. Workstations can be installed on both sides of the linear machine to optimise the use of floor space. Designed by Mikron Singapore and supported by 35 years of automation experience, this platform is suitable for the assembly and testing of products destined for emerging markets and for low to medium production volumes.

The company has also introduced enhancements to the G05 system, which will satisfy the most rigorous global safety requirements. In addition to designing ergonomic improvements and a new man-machine interface, engineers have placed a special emphasis on the reduction of noise generated by conveyors and pallets.
