Electrochemical Grinding (ECG) technology from Everite Machine Products Co. combines electrolytic activity with the physical removal of materials by means of charged grinding wheels. The technology can produce burr-free and stress-free parts without heat or other metallurgical damage common to conventional mechanical grinding. ECG eliminates the need for secondary machining operations. Because ECG generates little or no heat it will not distort delicate components.

Everite offers an array of products and services that incorporate electrochemical grinding technology. Included is a line of standard machines and engineering services to develop custom equipment for special applications and manufacturing processes. Everite is also offering a new “point grinding” ECG machine specifically for needle pointing applications.
