Gimac offers integrated extrusion systems for catheter manufacturers. Its latest systems are focused on material flexibility and performance, precision and flexibility, streamlined design and ease of use. New achievements include elongational range and consistency especially for FEP, PA12 and PEBA materials and a broad range of intermittent durometer combinations and vacuum sizing of FEP, PEEK, PI and amorphous PA12. Elongation and mechanical properties can be controlled and enhanced because of a new control logic. Novel polymers blends are being developed to improve the potential of totally intermittent extrusion, allowing varying durometers up to 40 ShoreD.
