Laser-Marking System Designed for Permanent Metal and Plastic Marking Applications

Epilog Laser, a producer of CO₂ and fibre-laser engraving, marking and cutting systems, offers the 50-W FiberMark unit, which is reportedly the first flying-optics laser system designed for permanent metal and plastic marking applications. The system is designed for creating bar codes, data-matrix codes and other identification marks on bare metals and engineered plastics. Previously available in only 20 or 30-W models, a 50-W version of the system has been recently introduced.
