Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions has applied its knowledge of precision thread rolling to a range of micro-sized lead screws. Standard configurations include 2-mm diameter screws with leads ranging from 0.3- to 2-mm per revolution and a variety of nut configurations of self-lubricating acetal and Kerkite composite polymers.

The Micro Series is intended to facilitate the miniaturisation of products, reduce power consumption and weight reduction without sacrificing performance or reliability. Developed in response to growing demands in many markets, the manufacturer has offered micro screws on a custom basis for more than 10 years.

The Kerk Micro Series Lead screws are available as stand-alone components. In addition, they can be integrated into the Haydon linear actuators. Manufactured with stainless steel, the assemblies are expected to offer a long life span and require no maintenance. Threads with high uniformity deliver precise motion and reduce noise and vibration. Optional Kerkote TFE coating, a proprietary dry lubricant, extends nut life while reducing friction and drive torque requirements.
