Micropump Features Double-Actuator Configuration

The mp6 micropump from Bartels Mikrotechnik features a double-actuator configuration, enabling it to offer intrinsic flow control. The micromembrane pump is actuated by a double configuration of piezo elements in combination with passive valves. Supporting a pressure of up to 500 mbar, the pump’s double-actuator design enables self filling at startup. Because the piezo effect of the micropump actuators is reversible, it can be used for actuation as well as sensing.
