Piezo Pumps Designed for Microfluidics Applications

Pump manufacturer PARItec has developed a line of piezo membrane pumps for microfluidics applications. Suitable for use in medical products, the O-run pump line is based on MICROrun technology, which the manufacturer developed in cooperation with Fraunhofer IZM. The pumps cover a flow range from 0.05 to 100 ml/min for water. The pumps can manage viscosities of up to 1000 mPa·s, enabling it to be used for transporting media such as glycerine.
