Tubing Zeus Industrial Products specialises in high-performance polymer extrusions processes PTFE, FEP, PFA, PEEK, Pebax and related materals. An in-house research and development team is available to develop custom solutions. Products include extruded, heat-shrink, Sub-Lite-Wall, ePTFE, multilumen and lay-flat tubing produced to tight tolerances. Profiles and other speciality products also are available. Zeus also has developed an electrospinning technology platform that produces nano- to microscale-thick polymer fibres. It is able to develop fabrics with complex shapes from solutions, pastes and bioabsorbables. The result is a broad range of fibre and fabric properties that may benefit implantable products. The electrospun fabric can act as scaffolding to permit integration into the body and promote cellular growth. In the case of bioabsorbable materials, the scaffolding is eventually absorbed, leaving a structure of the body’s own cells intact. To meet application demands, Zeus can introduce additives ranging from therapeutic agents to property modifiers into the solutions, which are then incorporated into the fibres and fabrics.
