Who We Are

Precision Extrusion is an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer of high quality, custom extruded, medical grade tubing from thermoplastic materials. We manufacture tubes that are single, multi lumen, co-extruded, striped and braided. Additionally, we manufacture acetal mandrel for manufacturing support of tight-tolerance tubing. Approximately 90~95% of our business is in the medical device industry. Over 20% of our businesses are from outside of the United States, European and Asia markets mostly. In conjunction with a new balloon technology company, ABT Medical from Ireland, PEI is offering balloon design for rapid prototyping of PTCA, PTA, Neural, Renal, Gastric, below the knee (BTK) and Kyphoplasty products, to include the world’s longest balloon, 340 mm. 

Service Offered

Through precise computerized equipment, extruded tubing of PUR, PA, PC, PE, PEEK, FEP, PLA, PEBAX, PVC ,PP and most engineering resins are manufactured to meet your precise specifications. Materials can be compounded with barium, bismuth, or tungsten for radiopacity. Melt temperatures are maintained to within one degree. Screw RPM is held constant On-line lasers monitor and maintain outside tubing diameters and wall thickness are precisely controlled through on-line statistical process control. Inside diameters and wall thickness are precisely controlled through on-line statistical process-control.

PEI can handle the most complex tubing needs. IDs can be as small as 0.0025" and walls are as thin as 0.002". We have state-of-the-art equipments that allow us to make the highest quality reinforced braided tubing in various compounds and configurations. Our high production lines manufacture acetal mandrel for use in the manufacture of tight-tolerance tubes (tolerance is tight to 0.0005"). We manufacture in Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) for unequalled strength and temperature profiles. We also have bump or taper tubing for variable OD's and ID's. Balloon sizes can be from 0.5 mm to 20 mm diameter and 5 mm to 340 mm long.Finally, we provide some secondary operation, e.g. precise cutting, tipping, flaring, welding, and some other subassemblies. Short lead time is down to 1 week.
