Parylene is a biocompatible coating that is applied to components using vapor deposition technology. This unique method allows Parylene to truly conform to the profile of even the smallest and most intricate medical devices.  It is micron level-thin, offers excellent moisture, chemical and dielectric protection, and dry-film lubricity.

Parylene conformal coatings are available in a family of formulations to fit every need, including the latest Parylene HT®, which offers excellent UV and thermal stability (up to 350°C long-term).

The biocompatibility of Parylene makes it the ideal protection for numerous invasive medical devices, components and implants, including stents, pacemakers, electrosurgical tools, cannulae, intraocular and cochlear implants, elastomeric components and the latest in ingestible diagnostic electronic devices.  Benefits include:

• Moisture and dielectric barrier protection for defibrillator controls, display circuitry and components, also for both powered and RF surgical tools, in the external power assemblies and invasive cutting and/or cauterizing devices.
